Stylized Bridal Shoot!

Recently I had a very interesting conversation with my sister and FABULOUS costume designer Karen Cornejo. We were talking about how lovely it would be to do a stylized shoot. Wouldn’t that be nice? And as we spoke the plan just came together. I am SO glad that she was my partner in crime on this one because it was AWESOME!!! I had such a great time and am so pleased with the images that came out of my ย camera. I am still a little high on the fumes. ๐Ÿ™‚

We were able to get the gorgeous Sarah McIntosh to be our model for the day. This girl can WORK IT! Tisha Tinsmanย worked her hair and make-up magic for the shoot. And the Indie Film Factory ย provided us with an amazing location for the first half of the shoot. Loved shooting there!

The first half of the shoot is all about glamour. Ladies I have to recommend you get bridal portrait session if you at all possible. Wedding day time is precious but this is so worth it!

Love those lashes!

This particular shot just had a different feel for me. Very 50s bride. ๐Ÿ™‚

Vogue… Strike a pose. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Really enjoyed the balloons.

No fighting over the bouquet!

The Indie Film Factory has a different sets available for shooting and I loved these concrete walls.

It was an interesting challenge to shoot in a studio as I am usually a natural light, on location photographer, but I did enjoyed it and learned so much. Look out studio shoots I’m coming. ๐Ÿ™‚

Until then though, I will play outside. Here is the desert shoot. Just too much goodness!! A special thank you to Jonathan Shrader for being our groom for the afternoon. Handsome, funny and not afraid to ask for directions. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is where I truly felt like myself. This shoot was framed with the majestic Red Rock Canyon of Nevada.

Sarah is not just gorgeous, but she can also hike in a wedding dress. That, people, is talent!

Love the light in the desert.

Love this one.

Fun with props.

See if you can spot me in this last one. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank you again to all the people who took part in and helped with this shoot. I am so happy and grateful. You are all so talented and magnificent!!!

Tabita & Mario Part 2: The Wedding!

Let me start by saying, I LOVE Tabita and Mario! They are an amazing, loving, friendly couple that makes me fall in love with love. I was truly lucky to be there at their wedding. Thanks for having me guys!

I thought it was pretty adorable that her ring fit perfectly in his.

The gorgeous bride to be!

Beaming bride.

The weather was perfect for a hill top wedding. The colors were amazing!

I love surprises, and that is what Tabita did for all of her guests. She sang a surprise song for her husband. It was so heart felt and beautiful. I’m glad I wore waterproof mascara.

Happily married. Congratulations you guys! ๐Ÿ˜€

The lovely ladies.

The handsome gentlemen. Of course they had to “outdo” the ladies. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Loved the light on this bridge. It really brought a great feeling to these photos.

The first dance.

And the party went on into the night…

Congratulations again you guys. I hope you have a fabulous and wonderful marriage!โ™ฅ

Friday Fritter

A few of my cool photographer friends and I have come up with little assignments to keep ourselves sharp. This weeks assignment is “the relationship between the fork and knife.” A classic. So here is my contribution to the fray.

I learned a few things with this one. 1. I have hard water. 2. It’s more difficult than you might think. 3. It’s great to have an assignment like this to explore new ideas in your photography! ๐Ÿ™‚

Enjoy your weekend! Get out there and shoot, people! Well… you know what I mean.

Sarah Gutierrez - Love it! Great photos! It’s a interesting piece made into a beautiful picture.
